National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day

I live with one of the largest chocolate chip cookie fans. No it is not my child but my husband. He is not a chocolate chunk fan but rather a chocolate chip fan. He likes those little morsels of chocolate that helps to dress up the cookie. Lucky for him he is not alone there are many chocolate chip cookie lovers and they come together to celebrate on August 4th, national chocolate chip cookie day.

Ruth Graves Wakefield is the individual who through curiosity brought alive the notion of a chocolate chip cookies. Her wonderment of what chunks of chocolate would taste like mixed into the sugar cookie dough brought together a whole new cookie.
