Daddy Scrubs

When a baby is born a lot of attention of course is placed on it and his or her mama. In the olden days the daddy would be out in the waiting room ready to hand out cigars to all friends, family members and any new father may be there as well. While more attention has been spent on the new daddys of now Daddy Scrubs offers a way that there will be no mistake who fathered the new ball of joy. Daddy Scrubs make the perfect new dad gifts

DaddyScrubs introduced its line of Daddy Gifts, including their signature DaddyScrubs, I'm the Daddy tees, hoodies, hats and accessories in September 2009. The line of Daddy Scrubs has been created by a father for every stage of fatherhood.  The perfect expectant father gifts allows you to give the new father to show off his pride. Whether a frantic first timers whose excitement has pumped them up to the cooler veteran fathers who have visited the maternity ward before. Both fathers will be able to feel the pride of being a new father and deserve to feel special and comfortable during this special time period.  So nothing better to wear special scrubs perfect for the delivery room entitled "I'm The Daddy"

I’m the daddy! Medical Scrubs features a v-neck scrub top with left chest pocket. Comfortable and easy to wear. Drawstring pants featuring one hip pocket and two slash pockets. The scrub set is made of cotton allowing Daddy to stay cool when the heat is on.

Daddy's are no longer expected to stay in the waiting room and now with Daddy Scrubs they can be prepared and announce their pride with the cute Daddy Scrubs allowing every one to know who exactly the daddy is. After the baby is born daddies can still announce "I'm the Daddy" while they lounge around in the scrubs.

The scrubs are roomy enough allowing daddy to not feel confined and be able to move freely. Material used to create the scrubs also seems soft enough to be comfortable but strong enough to stand up as well. They make the perfect daddy to be gift as well so before you head to the shower with only mom and baby in mind remember daddy is part of the connection as well.

Frankenstein Luminaries Craft

Glass canning jars with lid bands
Acrylic paint: green, white, black
Paintbrush
Large, medium, and small round sponge applicators
Black marker
2 metal nuts per jar
Instant grab glue
Clear gloss sealer spray

  1. Remove tops from jars; remove lids from the bands and save them for another project. (See photo.)
  2. Paint bands black and jars green; set aside to dry. (See photos 1, 2.)
  3. When dry, paint a second coat on the jars and have an adult spray the black bands with sealer spray. Set aside to dry.
  4. Dip the large round sponge applicator into white paint and dot on the eyes to the front of the jar. (See photo.)
  5. Mix a small amount of green paint with some white paint to make a light shade of green. Dip the small round applicator into the green paint and add the
nose to the front of the jar. (See photo.)
  6. While the eyes and nose are drying, take the black marker and lightly draw on stitches and a mouth on the face. (See photo.)
  7. Use instant grab glue to attach a nut to the side of the jar. Allow it to dry for several minutes before turning the jar over and gluing a nut to the
other side. Stand the jar up and let everything dry. You may need to check thenuts and make sure they are sticking. Simply press them back in place if need be. (See photo.)
  8. Dip the medium round sponge applicator into black paint and add the pupils to the eyes. Allow them to dry completely. (See photo.)
  9. Have a grown up spray the jars with gloss sealer spray, each jar and black band should get three coats, wait 30 minutes between coats.
  10. When everything is dry, screw the black bands back onto the jars and add a tea light candle. Wait until it gets dark and watch them glow! (See photo.)

Tips:

  1. For a safer option, you can purchase battery-operated tea light candles.
  2. If you don’t have canning jars, you can use any type of recycled glass jar. Simply paint the rim of the jar black in place of a band.
  3. These jars make great holders for your Halloween party table as well. Fill them with pixie sticks, straws, or lollipops!

Hershey Kiss Spiders

REESE'S Peanut Butter Pumpkins(1.2 oz. ea.)
Large pretzel twists(2-1/2 to 3 in.)
1/4 cup HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips, HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips*
White YORK PIECES Candies

Line tray or cookie sheet with waxed paper. Remove wrappers from desired number of peanut butter pumpkins. For each spider, cut 8 matching curved sections from pretzels which will form the legs. Set aside remaining pretzels pieces. Place milk chocolate chips in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chips are melted and smooth when stirred. Transfer to small heavy duty plastic food storage bag. Cut off one corner of bag about 1/4 inch from the tip.  For each spider, place peanut butter pumpkin on prepared tray. Attach pretzel legs and white candy "eyes" to spider with melted chocolate; place dot of melted chocolate on each eye. Allow chocolate to set before moving spiders.

This amount of chocolate will make about 8 spiders.
