How many of you all remember the T.V. show Blossom? My sister used to love this show so I remember it very clearly. We only had one t.v. and that night we would all watch Blossom or go without. Salada Tea

SALADA TEA
As far back as I can remember I have been offered tea. We are normally the iced tea person but on occasion would enjoy a great cup of hot tea. It was not until I met a great co-worker of mine from Britian that I truly became a tea lover. My friend would enjoy her tea with a bit of cream and sugar just like coffee. At first I thought how strange this was but later I found out that what seemed different to me was not different to those who truly love hot tea. A short time later my husband found out about the different tea flavors such as green tea, peach tea and white tea. He loved them all and soon they were regular items on the shopping list. When I read about Salada Tea I knew that I would have to try some of their product out as well. Thanks to Salada Teas I received a few different flavors of tea and need to share with you that they are all delicious.

The founder of the Salada tea company was a traveler and a food merchant. Mr. Larkin wanted to transport the tea back to his consumers in a manner that would keep the tea fresh. Thus the introduction of quality tea in handy foil packages came to pass. The foil allowed the freshness to stay put within the tea which allowed for a greater cup of tea. Today that same great flavor of tea is now sold in tea bags which allows you to brew that great cup of tea each time.
There are many great teas available at Salada. Teas such as green and white tea that promote good health as well as delicious gourmet teas are all sold at Salada. Why don't you try some today? Head over to the website http://www.greentea.com/index.aspx to shop for your perfect cup of tea.

Aloha Friday

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response

Well, my son has left for college and he is doing great. He has started a new job, met a girl he really likes, loves his classes and his advisor, and gets along well with his room mate. As his mother he is still my little boy so I will be wanting to send him a care package sometime soon.

So today's question is: what would be good to send to my son in a care package? I can use all the help I can get on this as he is my first child that went to college

Now after you help me out head over to the blog an Island Life for more great questions as well as to ask your own.

Yoplait Whips review and giveaway

My family has for as far as I can remember been yogurt lovers. The Yoplait Whips to my children are the best thing going. However, there is even one thing better and that was to create Yoplait Whips frozen pops. These were super delicious. Now I have ate yogurt Popsicles before but never created them and was not even for sure that I could freeze yogurt. But guess what they were delicious. With all the great flavors that Yoplait Whips come in you can create numerous flavors and I am sure you will find one to please your taste buds.

Thanks to Blog Sparks we received a lovely package that included the Popsicle molds, set of 12 spoons, a lovely red insulated cooler bag and 2 free coupons for yoplait whips

Yoplait Whips are delicious as they are or for a cool frozen treat place your favorite Whips! yogurt cup in the freezer overnight. If you have never had frozen yogurt you should try this for sure. The Delicious taste beats most ice cream dishes that I have had. Just think of the great money that you can save by creating your own frozen dishes out of economical Yoplait Whips rather than paying top dollar for some of the grocery store novelties. Yoplait Whips! come in many tasty flavors including Strawberry Mist, Chocolate, Key Lime Pie, Orange Crème, Chocolate Raspberry, Lemon Burst, Peaches 'N Cream and Raspberry Mousse and vanilla creme.

Good News: Thanks to Blog Spark one of Annies Home readers will win the same package that I did. Which means you too will be able to create great frozen Yoplait yogurt pops.

First and Mandatory Entry: what flavor of Yoplait Whips out of the above would you love to try or have tried.

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday finds me with a full heart of love, faith, belief and a bit of fear. This week I have had my son visit the doctor for his heart and thus far there is no one that seems to know anything. This week also was one where I accompanied my son to where he will be living for at least the next 3 years. My son will be attending a Christian college away from home.

I am thankful for the prayer warriors that are there for my son. The love that he is being given along with a great Christian friend being his doctor. His doctor was smart enough to send him to a specialist. I am thankful for all the health care workers that helped us through a scary night over the weekend when my son had chest pains in his heart. I am also very thankful for the interest that is being expressed in the care of my child. But most of all I am thankful that the Lord up above holds the wisdom and that my son does not ask why me but only states God has a plan.

I am very thankful that my oldest son decided to attend a Christ based college. There has never been another time in my sons life where I have seen him so happy and embracing the Lord. He loves the school, his roommate, new girlfriend, and the fact that all are traveling along a path that is being directed in a Christian based manner. I am thankful that my son feels the Lords love so that he can embrace the gift that he is receiving

Because this tells of all that I have been doing as well I am posting on Friday Fragments as well on Friday's FreeWrite

Works For Me

There are lots of tips and tricks that I have learned this week. I sent one son off to college to live in the dorms and another to the ER with chest pain. I sent one daughter off to college and start a new line in her life and yet another daughter to try to figure out what she will do when high school ends. In all these things the one thing that works for me is turning to our Lord Jesus and saying "you gave them to me, you have helped me raise them, now watch over them as they start to live their own lives with Jesus hopefully spotlighted in all of them" This is the only way that I can get by right now, good friends, my blog, and prayer.

That is what is working for me this week what works for you? Visit the blog We are that family.

GameWright Games Review and Giveaway win a game

In one way hot summer nights are like winter days. In both types of weather my family loves to play games. We have been like this for many many years. I can remember my grandparents playing rook in the garage around the cardboard table with my parents while us kids played in the yard. This was always exciting but nothing could beat those great board games that I would play with my cousins. It was great time for creating memories and with the memories we carried with us the wonderful game playing skills. When I found a wonderful company that created games for all ages I was impressed to say the least. GameWright is a wonderful company that host games for ages from 3 to adult. Wow one company and so many great games.

We received three different games from GameWright. One of those games was the Can You See What I See Game. Very cool game to say the least. It was fun to play with my nephews who are kindergarten age as well as my older children who wanted to see how the game was played. One of my favorite features of this game is that it did not take very long to play. If the attention span was there we could play it again but if not we could run around a bit and return to the game later if we chose to. The game is created where we reading is not needed. The cards tell the entire story through picture. This allows the little guys to have as much fun as the adults in the games that GameWright created for them.

GameWright also sent me a game for the adults and older children to play as well. There could not be a more perfect game for our family. We had so much fun playing this wonderful game where names of business had to be created if two business of different nature were to merge. I was very surprised that we could come up with such a large assortment of names. Imagination skills were practiced well within this GameWright game. I loved this because I have teens that attend writing class in school the Funny Business game allowed my children to practice word and imagination skills in a fun fashion. I believe this would be great for any home school family with older children as well.

The last game that we received was the Say Cheese game. This game is a dice and card game that is fun for a group of different aged individuals from age of six to adult. The best news is that one of Annies Home readers will be able to win the game Say Cheese for their selves. Yeah!!!!!!!! So cool.
Mandatory Entry: you must visit GameWright website and tell me what game you would love to play and who with.

Skin Free

As many of my followers know I have terrible skin. The main reasoning behind this is because I am a diabetic. Oh my skin sure does dry out easily, cracks often and is just in poor shape. I was very surprised when I received Skin Free to review. I received a set for extra dry skin and thought when I opened the lid that it smelled great. I believe that the Skin Free product is great. I totally love it because it moisturizes my dry skin and feels great. One of the best parts of all is that it is available at Walgreen's. YEAH!!!!!!

One of my favorite products is the Skin Free Super Moisture Butter Creme. You can totally smell the butter ringing from the bottle. Squirt it into your hand and it seems to be gathered up by my dry skin. I can tell you that the Skin Free products are terrific for my dry skin.

Whether your skin is dry or you know someones who is why not try the wonderful Skin Free products.

VAT19 review

Do you ever want to give someone you love that cool one of a kind gift? Finding that one gift for the person that has everything used to be a difficult feat. But now with VAT19 that difficult feat has been tamed. VAT19 sells wonderful one of a kind gifts as well as items that anyone would love to have.
I am a candle lover and if that candle smells great then my day is suddenly brighter. We were able to review a wonderful candle from VAT19 that candle did not only smell great but actually looked like a gigantic cinnamon roll. Can you imagine what the kitchen smells like when I lit the wonderful Cinnamon candle? My children found out in a sort of different way as they smelled the candle burning believed they smelled Cinnamon rolls baking in oven and were a bit disappointed when all they found was the scented candle from Vat19.

As I had shared before I am a candy lover. So when I saw this gigantic gummy bear on a sucker stick I knew that I wanted it. The only problem was that my children wanted it as much as I did. So guess they will have to wait and see if they receive one for their selves. My teens would love these. If you have a college student or teen then the VAT19 Giant Gummy Bears would be a great surprise that would surely put a smile on their face.
To find the one of a kind gift that you would love you will have to visit VAT19 at their website

At The Well

The blog At The Well this week brings up the issue of TV and children . This has always been a issue that I have struggled with. We do watch TV but we watch TV together as a family. Often old shows that I grew up or reality t.v. The reality T.V. allows them to see the issues on TV but we talk about the ongoing issues. My children are teens and that makes it important for them to see issues and for us to discuss them.

What is your opinion of T.V. and your child? Share them on the blog At The Well

Not Me Monday

Did you almost die of embarrassment when your child pulled their own pants down at the library? Want to scream bloody murder when your toddler took a pair of scissors to the dog's fur? Feel like a terrible mother when your kid said a four-letter-word at a back to school event? Well don't! Mothers aren't perfect and neither are children. Let's 'fess up today because it's Not my child! Monday!

This has been one for the record books. As my children are growing up we are beginning to see the start of many new events. For instance:

  • It was not my son who in the hospital and being discharged undressed in front of not only his mother but the nurses. It would not be my child who did not see anything wrong with it and just told me he was getting ready to go.
  • It was not my child who headed off to college not for sure what to expect. It was not my child that was going to walk up to the meet and great at this same college with his fly unzipped and his pockets out. It was not my child who was thinking so much about what he would do and say he forgot to see what he looked like.
  • It was not my grand child who thought of his daddys arm as a table where only the potatos went as we sat at the kitchen table. Princess did not line the potatos up in a row on his arm as in a marching band
  • It was not my son as in a treat for his brother who was discharged from the hospital bought him a donut and then found out that he liked white icing more than caramel icing that he bought 2 donuts one with caramel icing with the filling his brother loves and a white iced one and scraped the ice off the white topped donut.

what did your child do or not do? List them on the blog My Charming Kids

I loved this little blue outfit it was one of my favorites on her. She also has little blue suede shoes on but you can not really tell them. I thought this would be a great picture for blue monday

Master Lock

Recently I was given the opportunity to review a great combination lock from Mater Lock this opportunity was found on twitter moms. The great combination lock I was able to review was the Master Lock No1500iD The great Master Lock No1500iD is a great lock one of a kind.

The Master Lock No1500iD is the only combination lock on the market that opens in an up/down/left/right directional movement. The top reason that I admire this lock is because it allows my son to easily open his lock and exchange needed items in his locker and get to class within the 4 minutes allowed. On top of that reason the great patented technology of the wonderful Master Locks No1500iD is that the security is above the standard combination lock. Want yet another great reason to select this super combination lock? Well how about being able to reset the combination on the Master Lock No1500iD. The combination lock itself is a mere 2 inches of metal that can be easily opened with one hand. Imagine your student eager to get into their locker with several books in hand and no where to sit them down. With the Master Lock No1500iD you can easily hold the books in one hand and open the lock with the second hand.
If your child would love to add letters, numbers, colors, shapes or symbols to make it fit their personality the Master Lock company has taken care of this as well by including a great set of stickers on the lock. You simply take the stickers and apply over the arrows.
